The Westchester County Society of Real Estate Appraisers is committed to fostering professional excellence in its membership through continuing education, the sharing of ideas, and to promote and cultivate the growth of its members and to the appraisal profession.  We serve appraisal professionals primarily in NY, NJ, and CT.

Member Benefits

Founded in 1948: Membership in one of the oldest appraisal organizations in the tri-state area.  Users of appraisal services seek those who belong to a professional organization.

Continuing Education: WCSREA offers opportunities for entry-level and advanced appraisers to continue their education as per state requirements, making them more valuable to their clients.  They enjoy discounted fees to all our educational seminars and events.

Networking: WCSREA provides you a unique opportunity to network with fellow appraisal professionals in a casual atmosphere through meetings, conferences, social gathering which include guest speakers, seminars, summertime outing and end of year holiday party.

Professional Publication: FREE listing in our membership roster that is mailed out to users of appraisal services in the metropolitan area.

Career Development Assistance: Referrals to who is looking to hire appraisers.

Membership Classifications

Associate: Any individual who is actively engaged in real estate appraisal and holds an appraisal license (Assistant, Licensed, Certified) in any state for a minimum period of one year.  An Associate may apply to Senior Membership after one year as per the requirements of the By-Laws in place at the time of application.

Affiliate: Any individual associated with the real estate industry (sales/brokerage, property management, home inspector, banking, mortgage lending, mortgage brokers) and any other related discipline other than appraising and who has expressed the desire to acquaint themselves with the practice of real estate valuation.

Corporate Affiliate: Membership is open to companies and any other organizations that are active in the real estate community (except real estate companies).  This category entitles individuals of those organizations (except Associates, Affiliate and Senior Members) to attend regular scheduled functions.
